DESCRIPTION:Purlieu 2012 A Collaboration of Local Ridgefield ArtistsMay 17th - July 28thOpening reception Thursday May 17th 5:30-7:30pm  Allison Meyler infuses sketching and painting to result in an abstract style  that possesses purpose and movement expressed through fresh colors and gestural marks. Debra Schaffer makes art out of everyday experiences and portrays the mundane that is often overlooked\, undervalued or taken for granted. Pamela Stoddart\, inspired daily by the world around her\, sees things literally and yearns to paint them abstractly. Karen Beck lets her brush command the creation through movement using the materials as the choreography to the composition. Lewis Schaffer masterfully "recycles" bicycle parts into innovative sculptures and furnishings. Antonio Munoz merges his passion for color and pattern with the boldness of iconic silhouettes through his textile and graphic design work.\n______________________________\nThis Event Downloaded From a Helios Calendar Powered Site
