In depth interpretation of a single subject best describes the artwork of North Salem, NY artists Gayle Gleckler, Tony Woolner, and Southbury, CT artist Juan Luis Andreu. Ms. Gleckler and Mr. Woolner, in their series titled 'In Plane View', create paintings and monoprints based on aerial photography of New England landscapes. Flying in their Piper Cherokee, they have photographed nature's patchwork patterns from 3500 feet. Sculptor Andreu creates an emotional study of the majestic bull. Andreu's interest in the Spanish bull has roots as far reaching as his grandfather who watched men die in the arena, as well as hundreds of bulls. "I introduce the bull as witness to the human social realm where the beast is more sensible and sensitive than man."

The exhibit opens August 2, 2010, continuing through September 8, 2010.

Participate in a docent-guided tour of the current exhibitions from 2 to 3 pm. Then, a docent will be on hand in the galleries to answer questions about the art from 3 to 4 pm.

Actor, writer, director Beau Gravitte - (Broadway - 'The Light in the Piazza', Television - 'The Good Wife', 'Gossip Girl', 'Law & Order SVU') will be holding a master class in acting. A member of the Board of Directors of the Actors Studio in New York, Beau will be using his experience to teach the fundamentals of character development focusing on finding the truth in fun and creative moment to moment work onstage.

Eight, one-hour and forty- five minute sessions will be offered Tuesdays after school from September 21st to November 16th (no class November 2 - Election Day)

Two age groups:

6th - 8th grade (12 years old at least)from 3:30 - 5:15pm

High School from 6:00 - 7:45pm

Class size is limited so auditions are mandatory. Prospective students should prepare a short monologue.Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 7th from 3:30 - 5:30pm.

Meetings are generally at 8pm.

Just when it seems that things can't get any worse...or can they?…Mel has a nervous breakdown. And it's the best thing that ever happened to him.
