This record is a celebration of African- American music over the past one hundred years and its social messages from the last thirty. Although we cover a whole timeline of different eras on We Walk This Road, what ties these songs together remain their message of hope, their ability to uplift.

FOGHAT was signed by Albert Grossman to Bearsville Records in 1971, the band recorded their first self-titled LP 'Foghat' and began touring relentlessly for the next 14 years. The Prisoner of Second Avenue, comedy by Neil Simon; directed by Matt Austin; Friday and Saturday eves at 8 pm from Sept. 10 through Oct. 2, with Sunday matinees Sept. 19 and 26 at 5 pm.

The plot revolves around Mel Edison, a well-paid executive who gets the ax when the high-end Manhattan firm where he works hits the skids. When Mel's wife Edna takes a job to tide them over, she too is sacked. Adding to the mayhem are the paper-thin walls of his apartment, giving him a constant earful of his neighbors' private lives. Just when it seems that things can't get any worse...or can they?…Mel has a nervous breakdown. And it's the best thing that ever happened to him.

Don McLean's international stardom began in 1971 with the release of 'American Pie". 'American Pie" was recorded on 26th May 1971 and a month later received its first radio airplay on New York's WNEW- FM and WPLJ-FM to mark the closing of The Fillmore East, the famous New York concert hall. Thirty years later, "American Pie" was voted number 5 in a poll of the 365 "Songs of the Century" compiled by the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts. Come hear him do this and more of his beloved favorites such as 'Vincent', 'And I Love You So", 'Castles in the Air".

Receiving for the show starts on September 9, and the show opens on September 26 and runs through October 31.
